We’re grateful you’re on board as a Table Captain, a very important part of this event. By introducing new friends to Vida Verde, we are able to expand our community and continue to do this work.

Do a little happy dance and start getting excited about being part of an amazing event!

OVERVIEW OF YOUR ROLE (AND OUR ROLE)

It will be Vida Verde’s job to inform, entertain, and inspire people to donate and become involved with Vida Verde. The event will be jam-packed with fantastic happenings like student performances and speeches, teacher testimonials, our documentary film, and other surprises. There will also be delicious organic food served along with hot beverages.

What we ask of you is to bring people (especially folks that have NOT heard of Vida Verde before!!) who you think might be inspired by the mission and work of Vida Verde, and then to help them feel comfortable and have fun! Our goal is to fill the space with 300 guests, no easy task! But, we know we can do it with your help.

HOW TO GUIDE / TIMELINE

Make a list of friends, family, co-workers, and neighbors who you think might be inspired by Vida Verde’s mission (note that we don’t just say people with deep pockets!). Think broadly…if you end up filling more than a table, we can put overflow guests nearby.

Follow up with guests to get their RSVPs

November 15

Use this form to send in your list of guests (Last Name, First Name) to us. Let us know how many kids your guests will have in childcare. Email Jeremy@Vveducation.org if you have questions.

November 29 & 30

Follow up with your guests by PHONE or TEXT sharing that you’re “looking forward to seeing them!” This call is really important because it helps encourage people who might be waffling at the last minute!

December 6

Arrive 30 minutes early (9:30am is ideal), receive your Table Captain bag, greet your guests, pass out name tags, and enjoy the program!
At the very end of the event: pass out pledge envelopes to your table; wait until prompted! It is very important that people don’t receive or fill out their pledge cards before prompted during the event.

December 6 - The big day! Note, Table Captains should arrive 30 mins early.

THE EVENT DETAILS

WHO: Anyone and everyone who is or might be interested in Educational Equity in the Outdoors
WHAT: A free community brunch with storytelling, music, and an opportunity to support Vida Verde
WHERE: East Palo Alto (Specifics coming soon…)
WHEN: Sunday, December 6th, 10AM-12PM
TABLE SIZE: 8-10 guests, including yourself (extra guests can be seated at an adjacent table)
COST: The event is FREE for everyone
WHY: To come together as a community to learn, celebrate, sing, break bread, share, and grow the funds and community that help make Vida Verde’s programs a reality
ATTIRE: Casual—come in whatever is most comfortable for you

CHILDCARE

Vida Verde will provide free excellent childcare for children during the event (toilet-trained or not!). The event is tailored toward adults, and children often find it hard to sit and listen for the entire program. Please encourage your guests to use this great resource.
