Eligible school criteria
Vida Verde programs are offered to schools for which:
1. 85% or more of
the students receive free/reduced price lunches and
2. Who do not
otherwise have an overnight environmental education opportunity in
grades 4-6.
Vida Verde programs are often scheduled far into the future. If you
are a teacher or administrator and are interested in scheduling a
trip for your class for the current school year,

our online calendar to find the open weeks. If you’re
interested in scheduling for next school year, the calendar will
likely not show the openings yet. However, you can still email us
with all of the information below.
Vida Verde offers one program a week during the school year from
Tuesday to Thursday. If you have found an open trip date,
you may contact us by email at
us@vveducation.org. Please include in the email:
• your name
• the school you represent
• the grade level
• confirmation that your school meets the VV criteria
• the program dates that you are interested in
